Creating a Safe Environment for You and Your Horse

EQUINE SAFETY ZONE products are safe, non-toxic, environmentally friendly, easy to use, economical AND deliver precisely what they promise!!!

Overview

The predecessor of Equine Safety Zone Products, ARDA (Army Research and Development Activity) later ARDA-Medco was created 18 years ago to look at combat situation dermatological problems and develop chemistry (chemical antimicrobials) that would work under EXTREME conditions.  ARDA-19 was approved for use by the Surgeon General and awarded a federal contract as a Department of Defense antimicrobial.  Its chemistry is the basis for Resolve A19 Rain Rot – Rain Scald, Resolve A19 Thrush and Resolve A19 Ringworm.

RESOLVE products treat not only dermatological pathology, but also resolve the problems associated with other product’s treatment recommendations that can be totally impractical or irrelevant!  For example, it is undesirable and unnecessary to shampoo a horse before applying RESOLVE to treat Rain Rot or Ringworm.  RESOLVE products are easy to apply and have no time consuming or lengthy treatment protocols.  And, in all cases, they continue to work in continuously wet conditions!   Most importantly, components of our formulations moisturize the skin, prevent cracking or drying and hasten recovery of the skin – perhaps the body’s most important organ.

Works in a WET Environment

RESOLVE Rain Rot - Rain Scald specifically targets Dermatophilus congolensision on chronically moist, damaged skin.  Additionally, its broad spectrum component will attack any opportunistic infection.  Mild to moderate infections may be treated with topical therapy alone.  Spray the affected area only for 5 to 7 days.  It works in continuously wet conditions.

Other gram-positive dermatological conditions that respond to this antimicrobial spray include:

·         Grease-heel

·         Scratches (wrap, after saturating, the first and second day)

·         Dew-poisoning

·         Bacterial Folliculitis/Bacterial Furnculosis caused by Staphylococcal or Streptococcal species and rarely fungi

·         Necrotizing Fasciitis (primarily due to a group A Streptococcus)

·         Pastern Follicultitis caused Staphylococcus aureus, S. hycus, and possibly S. intermedius

·         Dermatophilosis in the pastern region “Mud Rash” caused by Dermatophilus congolensis but often seen with       Staphylococcal or Streptococcal opportunistic infections

·         Staphylococcal Dermititus “Saddle Rash

·         Streptococcal Dermititus/Folliculitis caused by Streptococcus equi equi “Strangles” or sometimes referred to as Streptococcus equi zooepidermicus

RESOLVE Thrush specifically targets Fusobacterium necrothorum and any opportunistic fungal infection.  It does not burn, sting, irritate, stain or dry the affected area or the surrounding healthy tissue.   Spray at least once a day for 5 to 7 days.  It works in continuously wet conditions.

RESOLVE Ringworm targets Trichophyton equinum, T mentagrophytes, microsporum gypsum and microsporum canis.  This Federal contract winning fungicide has a MIC of 1:32,000.  It is the strongest, safest fungicide available in the global market and it too was designed to work in continuously wet conditions.  Spray the affected area every 3 days for 4 to 6 treatments.
